Following Premier Ford's announcement last Friday about the plans for re-opening the Province and the decision of the Bishop, our Churches will be re-opening beginning this Wednesday, Feb. 17, which is Ash Wednesday. the beginning of the Season of Lent. . Masses and the distribution of ashes will be celebrated at 8:00 am and 7:00 pm at both St. Anne and St. Joseph.

Our region is in the 'red' zone, and all guidelines and health measures we were following before Christmas must be carefully observed. This includes mask wearing, sanitizing hands, remaining a full 6 feet or two metres from anyone not in yoru household, and not entering the chuch if you feel at all unwell. 

To reduce contact this year, ashes will be sprinkled over our heads rather than imposed on the forehead. While this is a change for us, it is common in many countries, including Italy and Poland even in non-pandemic times. Please listen carefully to the instructions given when you attend Mass.
