The first reading remains the same for the chosen people. God remains faithful to the Covenant despite the falling away of the Jewish people. He keeps his promise to send Jesus to take away our sins. The prophet reminds the people to turn from the worship of idols and come back to the Lord God of heaven and earth, the God of the first commandment.
The Psalm reminds us to trust in the Lord for he is our help and our shield.
In the Gospel Jesus of yesterday show us his power and love for us, first by casting out a demon and then by giving us guidance through the difficulties of this life. Today's Gospel gives the names of the twelve Apostles who will labor in the harvest of the Gospel, leading us to life with Jesus. These twelve men proclaim the Good News to the world and are the foundation of the Church and of our faith. Let us remain faithful to their teaching and keep strong in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God bless all of you.
