First Reading: Acts 13: 26-33
Psalm 21
Gospel: John 14:1-6
In the first reading, St Paul and his companion lead us to the synagogue in Antioch to teach the Jews there the Good News about Jesus risen from the dead. He uses the prophets to show that Jesus is the promised Messiah who came to take away the sins of all people. He is the one promised by God to be the savior of the world.
In the Gospel, Jesus tells the Apostles He is to leave them to go prepare a new place for them in His Father's house. He tells them and us that
"where I am, there you may be also". St Thomas asks the question, “
We do not know where you are you going. How can we know the way?” Jesus gives the beautiful answer
"I am the way, and the truth and the life”. We are followers of Jesus and we want to go to the place where Jesus is. Please, there is no rush for any of us. Let us keep our faith in Jesus that he will guide us through these difficult times and, when the time is right, He will lead us home. Let us pray for all those affected by this pandemic that the Lord will keep them and us safe at all times.
