First Reading: Acts 5:27-33
Psalm 34
Gospel: John 3:31-36
It seems in these days there is much talk about the truth. We all have our own idea about what true is or is not. In the first reading, St. Peter and the apostles are put in prison for telling the truth. They are willing to give their lives for the Good News that Jesus is risen from the dead.
So many early Christians would in fact die for this truth. The Church was built on the blood of the martyrs.
In the gospel passage, St John, speaks of the truth that Jesus came from the Father and is the Son of God come to save us from our sins. John writes
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life”. This is the faith that brought all those Christians into the early Church.
Let us continue to believe in the love and care of Jesus in these times of need. He will answer all our prayers.
Please keep safe in this time of pandemic.
God bless you.
