We continue to read from the Acts of the Apostles. Today St. Peter and St. John go to the Temple and continue to do the work of Jesus by healing the man who was lame and work the miracle that returns him to walk. All in the name of Jesus. The man is full of praise to God for the gift of walking again. Thus, we continue to see the working of miracles in the Church. Let us thank Jesus for his gifts and love for all of us.
Again, we sing Alleluia, Alleluia as our song of praise and thanksgiving.
In the Gospel we have the great account of the road to Emmaus and the opening of the eyes of the two disciples after their encounter with Jesus. Many times, we are like them when we don't realize Jesus is right next to us especially in time that are hard for us. At the end their eyes are opened when Jesus shares the Eucharist with them. Let us thank Jesus for this gift of his Body and Blood and with it the pledge of everlasting life.
Again. Happy Easter and God bless all of you. Fr. Tom
